The attention of the authorities of the Federal University of Technology Owerri has been drawn to a fake advertorial/website (www.post-ume.com.ng/apply -for-update/?uni= Federal University of Technology Owerri &)id=36) purportedly published by the Federal University of Technology Owerri entitled, “POST UME/UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY UNIVERSITIES ADMISSION UPDATE”. The offensive publication in the web is empowered by a group identified as NET CONTACT CORPORATE SERVICES of no fixed address.
The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) hereby disassociates itself, whole and entire from the purported advertorial. It is pertinent to indicate that the University has not engaged directly or indirectly any person(s), group, firm or agency to represent it or place any advertorial in the web or through any other medium for the 2013/2014 POST-UTME & DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION UPDATE. The motive behind such a publication is obviously ulterior and calculated to deceive, cheat and exhort unsuspecting members of the public.
On the premise above, members of the public are hereby advised to disregard and discountenance the purported publication, not having emanated from FUTO. Steps are being taken to clamp down on these cyber criminals. Therefore anyone who deals or continues to deal with the advertorial referred is doing so at his/her own risk.
The public is further advised to visit the authentic website of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, (ie www.futo.edu.ng) for proper and accurate information/update on University programmes, activities and admission exercises etc.
