Covenant University’s Accounting Programme Accredited by ACCA
Covenant University’s Accounting Programme has been accredited by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The Association has also announced its accreditation of the Accounting programme of Covenant University.
The Acting Head, ACCA, Nigeria, Mr. Olatunji Adeleye, made the disclosure on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, when he led representatives of his organisation to pay a courtesy visit to the Management of Covenant University led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor AAA. Atayero.
Graduates of a typical Nigerian university, according to Mr. Adeleye, are entitled to four exemptions with similar accreditation but, with the work the ACCA had done, it was able to get every single Accounting graduate of Covenant University six (6) exemptions with effect from January 1, 2017.
He said that the ACCA was working with Covenant University, particularly the Accounting Department, to secure the maximum exemption within the shortest possible time so as to ensure that the University stands head and shoulder above all universities in Nigeria. “Because you are producing Accounting graduates that are exceptional,” he added.
