Jobs Available – Lagos State Civil Service Recruitment

The good Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has made available,  jobs for job seekers . Certain positions have opened up  prompting the Lagos State Civil Service to recruit, interested applicants seeking employment with the Lagos state government should apply. The vacant positions and the requirement and  qualification needed to apply can be seen here.

Vacant Positions Available And Their Requirements

Here are the jobs made available by the Lagos State Civil Service and their requirements;

1. EDUCATION OFFICER 1 GL09
Candidate must possess a degree in Education from a recognized University or a degree in a relevant subject plus a post graduate certificate in education. Must have at least three years post qualification cognate experience.

2. SENIOR EDUCATION OFFICER GL 10
Candidate must possess a degree in Education from a recognized University or a degree in a relevant subject plus a post graduate certificate in education. Must have relevant master’s degree and six years post qualification cognate experience.

3. TECHNICAL INTRUCTOR GL08
Candidate must possess a certificate from a College for Technical Education witha degree in Education from a recognized University or a degree in a relevant subject plus a post graduate certificate in education.

4. CONSULTANT (MEDICAL)GL15
Candidates must possess a degree in medicine from a recognized university. Must have the part 11 final examination certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent specialization, and have at least 8 years post qualification cognate experience, should be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

5. PRINCIPAL PHARMACIST GL12
Candidates must possess a degree in pharmacy plus at least 6 years post qualification cognate experience. Must be registered with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria

6. DIRECTOR GL 17
Candidate must possess a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Building Technology from a recognized University with at least 25 years post qualification cognate experience, 5 of which must be at top management level. Must have passed the Nigerian Institute of Architect Examination of professional competence and be fully registered by the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Council for Registered Engineers(COREN) or Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON).

7. CHIEF ARCHITECT GL 14
Candidate must possess a first degree in Architecture from a recognized University with at least 15 year post qualification cognate experience.Must have passed the Nigerian Institute of Architect Examination of professional competence and be fully registered by the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

8. SENIOR ARCHITECT GL 10
Candidate must possess a first degree in Architecture from a recognized University which must be registerable with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) with five years post qualification cognate experience, possession of a master’s degree is an added advantage.

9. ARCHITECT 1GL 09
Candidate must possess a first degree in Architecture from a recognized University which must be registerable with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) with two years post qualification experience, possession of a master’s degree is an added advantage.

10. ARCHITECT II / HIGHER TECHNICAL OFFICER (ARCHITECTURE) GL 08
Candidate must possess a first degree or a Higher National Diploma in Architecture from a recognized University or Polytechnic which must be registerable with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON)

11. CHIEF CIVIL ENGINEER GL 14
Candidate must possess a first degree in Civil Engineering, plus at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience. Must be registered with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)

12. SENIOR CIVIL./STRUCTURAL ENGINEER GL10
Candidate must possess a first degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized University registerable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) with at least five years post qualification cognate experience, possession of a master’s degree is an added advantage.

13. CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1GL 09
Candidate must possess a first degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized University registerable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) plus at least two years post qualification experience, possession of a master’s degree is an added advantage.

14. CIVIL/STRUCTURAL/MECHANICAL//ELECTRICAL ENGINEER 11/HIGHER TECHNICAL OFFICER (CIVIL) GL 08
Candidate must possess a first degree or a Higher National Diploma in Civil/ Structural Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Polytechnic which must be registerable with the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)

15. CHIEF BUILDING OFFICER GL 14
Candidate must possess a first degree in Building Technology with a master’s degree in building technology from a recognized University. Must fully registered with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON),with at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience.

16. SENIOR BULDING OFFICER GL 10
Candidate must possess a first degree in Building Technology plus a master’s degree in building technology from a recognized University, registerable with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON). Must have at least five years post qualification cognate experience

17. BUILDING OFFICER 1 GL09
Candidate must possess a first degree in Building Technology plus a master’s degree in building technology from a recognized University registerable with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) plus two years post qualification cognate experience

18. BUILDING OFFICER II/ HIGHER TECHNICAL OFFICER BUILDING1 GL 08 
Candidate must possess a first degree or a Higher National Diploma in Building or Building Technology from a recognized University or Polytechnic which must be registerable with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON)

19. EDUCATION OFFICER II GL 08
Candidate must possess a degree in Education from a recognized University or a degree in a relevant subject plus a post graduate certificate in education

20. FIRE OFFICER II GL 08
Applicants must possess first degree in Building, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from recognized University, must pass a prescribed competitive selection Examination and must be physically fit.

12. FIRE SUPERINTENDENT GL 07
Applicants must possess Higher National Diploma in Building, Mechanical or electrical Engineering from a recognized institution or the Graduate membership diploma of the Institute of Fire Engineering must be physically fit.

13. CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER, GL 14
Applicants must possess first degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline (e.g. Procurement, Engineering, Law, Finance, Business or Commerce). In addition Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Management of Nigeria, Membership of Institute of Purchasing & Supply, UK or any relevant Master’s Degree or internationally recognized certificate courses in Public procurement will be an advantage. Membership of Professional body will be required. Must have cumulative work experience of minimum of 12 years which at least 4 years should be in Public Procurement. Must have varied experience in the preparation of broad ranges of documents for consultancy service, should demonstrate capabilities in developing skills in Negotiating and preparation of TORs.

14. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR PROCUREMENT, GL 15 
Applicants must possess first degree or equivalent qualification in any relevant discipline (e.g. Procurement, Engineering, Management, Finance, Law and Commerce). In addition, a Masters Degree or internationally recognized Certificate courses in Public Procurement will be an advantage. Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Management of Nigeria, Membership of Institute of Purchasing & Supply, UK or any relevant professional body will be required.Must have 15 years cumulative work experience of which 8 years should be in Public Procurement related work and at least 5 years at senior Management level. In addition to the above, Applicants should have sound knowledge of Public Procurement principles, be able to develop effective monitoring tools for ensuring compliance and conducting post – review audits across MDAs, as well as experience in developing strategic skills and building highly effective procurement capabilities in the Public Sector.

15. NURSING SISTER /NURSING SUPERINTENDENT/MIDWIFERY SISTER GL 08
Possessing the NRN or the NRM or equivalent qualification duly registered with the Nursing and Midwife Council of Nigeria (NMCN)

16. COMMUNITY TECHNICIAN GL 07
Possession of Certificate from a recognized Health Institution plus registration with the National Council for Community Health Practice Board of Nigeria.

17. TRAFFIC OFFICER II GL 08
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. In addition to the above, candidates must be computer literate and physically fit.

18. TRAFFIC SUPERINDENT GL 07
Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma in any discipline from a recognized institution. In addition to the above, candidates must be computer literate and physically fit.

19. ASSISTANT TRAFFIC SUPERINTENDENT GL 06
Candidates must Possess Ordinary National Diploma Certificate in any discipline from a recognised Institution Full- Technological Certificate of the City and Guilds Institute of London in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. In addition to the above, candidates must be computer literate and physically fit.

20. TRAFFIC ASSISTANT II GL 04
Candidates must possess West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary School Certificate or Certificate of successful completion of a course in any discipline in an approved Trade Centre.

21. MOTOR DRIVER MECHANIC GL 04
Candidate must possess First School Leaving Certificate plus Class III Trade Test Certificate for Motor Mechanic Work and Professional Driver’s License.
