Suspending ASUP Strike Depends on FG – Asumogba

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), on Wednesday said that it was making progress in discussions with the Federal Government over its ongoing indefinite strike.

This was made know to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by ASUP President, Mr Chibuzor Asumogba.

In a telephone interview in Lagos, Mr Chibuzor Asumogba said on when to suspend the strike would, solely depend on the final outcome of the talks.

His words, “Our members are holding forth; we are making progress with our discussion with the Federal Government and the talks still continue”.

You migh want to know, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) recently embarked on a strike as they claim Federal Government is not honest about fulfilling the promises made to them.
