ACEONDO Convocation Ceremony (34th) Programme of Events 2018

Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo (ACEONDO) 34th Convocation ceremony programme of events holding in 2018 has been released. The school authorities is hereby informing all graduating students, parents and the general public.

Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo 34th Convocation Ceremony for the Award of Degrees, Certificates, Diplomas and presentation of prizes and fellowships will take place on Wednesday 10th October, 2018.

The 34th Convocation ceremony is for all students who were successful in the final examinations for degree, NCE and Diploma programmes of the College for the 2016/2017, 2015/2016, 2014/2015 and 2012/2013 sessions.

  • Day1: Sunday 07 October 2018 10.10 am Special Convocation Service at Christ Chapel, ACE
  • Day 2: Monday 08 October 2018 10.00 am – Press Briefing at CET Auditorium 4.00 pm – Novelty Football Match at the College Sports Complex 6.00 pm – Musical Concert at Babatunde Ipaye Hall
  • Day 3: Tuesday 09 October 2018 12.00 noon- Convocation Lecture. Topic: Educational Wealth by Professor Toyin Falola, University Distinguished Teaching Professor, Jacob and Frances Sanger Mossiker Chair in the Humanities, The University of Texas at Austin at Babatunde Ipaye Lecture Hall 5.00pm – Music Concert at Babatunde Ipaye Lecture Theatre 7.00 pm – Convocation Play at Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium
  • Day 4: Wednesday, 10th October 2018 9.00. am – Commissioning of Projects 10.00 am- Conferment of Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees and Honourary Fellowships at the College Quadrangle 12.00 noon- Commencement Address by Prof. Victor Mbarika, Houston Alumnae Endowed Professor at Southern University, and President, Board of Trustees, The ICT University, USA 2.00 pm – Entertainment of Guests 6.00 pm – Alumni Reunion, Special Awards for Outstanding Teachers at the ACE Alumni Auditorium
  • Day 5: Thursday, 11th October 2018 10.00 am- Teachers’ Day Celebration at Obonganwan Grace Ekong Lecture Theatre 5.00 pm- Gala night at the Quadrangle
  • Day 6: Friday, 12th October 2018 1.00 pm Special Jumat Service at the College Mosque

During the ceremony four College Fellowships will be conferred on the following distinguished awardees:

1. Prof. Toyin Falola, the Jacob & Frances Sanger Mossiker Chair in the Humanities, University of Texas at Austin

2. Prof. Victor Mbarika, Houston Alumnae Endowed Professor at Southern University, Baton Rouge and President, Board of Trustees, The ICT University of Multiple Campus System

3. Arabirin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu-Wife of the Executive Governor of Ondo State and Founder, Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN)

4. Dr. A. B. Baffa – Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund
