Achievers University 2013/2014 Admission Registration Procedure & Requirements

Achievers University GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A. UTME CANDIDATES
Candidates applying to Achievers University for admissions are required to have sat for the current Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with a minimum score as approved by NUC and JAMB. They must also obtain a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/ NECO (SSCE). These should include English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects relevant to the course of study. All candidates are to purchase Achievers University admissions form, which is also available online.

B. DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
(i.) DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES (200 LEVEL)
As for above, but with 2 or 3 subjects at A Level or HSC or ND or NCE or ATS results in relevant discipline. Candidates are also expected to have purchased the Direct Entry JAMB form.
(ii.) DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES (300 LEVEL)
Candidates for this programme should be holders of HND in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Accountancy, ACA, ACIB, ACIS, ACIN and ACIT with five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/ NECO (SSCE). These should include English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects relevant to the course of study.

C. BRIDGE PROGRAMME (PART-TIME)
As in B (ii.) above. The programme runs for six (6) semesters.

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
The Degree programmes listed above shall run for a duration of 4 or 5 years for UTME candidates, 2, 3 or 4 years for Direct Entry candidates and 3 years (six semesters) for the Parttime Bridge Programme.

FOUNDATION PROGRAMME
The programme is for candidates who are deficient in not more than two required subjects for their degree programme of choice. However, they must have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/NECO (SSCE). All candidates must pass UTME at the point of entry for the Foundation or at the point of transition to 100 level.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS
Applicants who did not make Achievers University their fist or second choice in their JAMB UTME and Direct Entry forms can process admissions either:
a. Online – visit the University website and follow the website and the Admissions Online blog, OR
b. Obtain the admissions form at a cost of N5,500 from:

c. Applicants may also utilize the form attached to this prospectus.
Fill the form legibly by supplying all the information requested for.
Pay the application fee to any of our offices above or any of the following banks:

Applicants should enclose photocopies of birth certificate or declaration of age, WAEC (SSCE), NECO (SSCE) and UTME results, four passport photographs, and receipt/teller of N5,500.

SCREENING EXERCISE
Candidates who make Achievers University their first or second choice in their UTME and Direct Entry forms should attend the screening exercise with N1,000 screening fee. Screening of all candidates will hold at the Permanent Site of the University, Km 1, Idasen-Ute Road, Owo on Saturday, 20th July, 2013.
