AOCOED Shut Down Due To Protest
AOCOED has been shut down over students’ protests. Adeniran Ogunsanya College Of Education (AOCOED) shut down indefinitely.The School authorities have deemed it fit to shut down the school, thereby crippling its activities due to the protest that occurred on late last week .
A protest becomes violent when the use of placard and other display materials are absent and the use of arms not necessarily Guns or weapons are used, but when various objects are seen moving in the air toward security personnel or the School authorities themselves.
AOCOED Shut down Indefinitely
The cause of the protest started when a student fainted during lecture hours due to the unconducive environmental conditions students had been subjected to, the student Union Government (SUG) protested to the school authorities concerning this mishap, but like most school protests, violence set in and according to an eye witness account, a senior lecturer was hit with sachet water otherwise known as pure water, which resulted to its shutting down indefinitely.
The school been shut down indefinitely not only affects AOCOED students but Ekiti State University (EKSU) students who are affiliated to it. Though the unconducive lecture halls where bad to the students but shutting the school down is worse for the students.
