ASUU Against New JAMB Registrar’s Appointment

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU have openly expressed their dissatisfaction at the former Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Ishaq Oloyede been appointed the new JAMB Registrar due to the fact that he was was characterized with anti-democratic and anti-union antecedents. So far its only ASUU that has spoken ill about the new  JAMB Registrar on like others who were pleased with the President’s decision to appoint the no nonsense leader.

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU Professor Biodun Ogunyemi has criticized the appointment of New JAMB head saying he was the last person that was expected to head JAMB according to the ASUU leader he felt that Oloyede has been to rigid in decision making and also emphasized on his tenure in UNILORIN.

He said, “As VC of UNILORIN, the system was manipulated to favour his son and daughter and within weeks, gave them awards for overseas training despite explicit regulations against the practice.”

“The Union has resolved to lodge an official complaint with the appropriate authorities and to demand investigation into the activities of Oloyede while in office as VC of UNILORIN. ”
