BREAKING: ASUU Strike Called Off

ASUU Strike has been called off according to information reaching us. This has also been reported by Dailypost and it has been broadcast on Television Continental (TVC) – that ASUU strike ends today.

Details of the news as ASUU calls of the strike:

Report reaching DailyPost from Minna, Niger State capital, indicates that the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has called off its five months strike.

The Union arrived at the latest decision to suspends its strike after a marathon meeting held at the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, Niger State on Monday.

After a protracted debate, the Federal Government and ASUU reached a compromise during a negotiation brokered by the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar few days ago.

  1. Hello Nigerians! We have to thank God for the courage of ASSU in this strike. Nigerian Government has not done well. Don’t forget that the issues at stake is not a fresh demand. The agreement concerning this demand has long been signed, it is therefore a bridge of contract on the part of federal government. However, we thank God that this day finaly came.

  5. NGScholars, stop disgracing Nigerian students with wrong grammar. At the time of this your so-called report, ASUU NEC meeting was still in progress(even as at 8.00pm yesterday Monday). Was the strike called off before the meeting commenced?
    Pls stop this unfounded falsehood called News.
