About the CIPM Annual Essay Competition 2025

The 2025 edition of the CIPM Annual Essay Competition focuses on the theme:

“Employee Mental Health and Wellness: The Role of HR in Creating a Resilient and Supportive Workplace.”

This competition offers students the opportunity to express informed opinions on the growing importance of employee well-being in today’s work environments and how Human Resources (HR) professionals can promote positive change.

To be eligible for the CIPM Annual Essay Competition, you must:

Be a full-time undergraduate student at a recognized Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education
Not have won this competition in previous years

Essay Submission Guidelines

Your essay must follow these requirements:

Word Count: Maximum of 3,000 words
Style Guide: APA (6th Edition) referencing format
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
Spacing: Double line spacing
File Format: Submit only in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
Originality: It must be your original work. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.

The essay itself
A scanned copy of your valid student ID card
A copy of your admission letter
A recent passport photograph
