DELSU Courses Close To Full Accreditation – VC

DELSU courses are close to getting full accreditation, this is according to the Delta State University Vice Chancellor. He claims the University has recorded tremendous progress in infrastructural and academic development since he took over.

The Vice Chancellor, of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Prof. Eric Arubayi, has said that virtually all the courses offered by the institution had been accredited by the National Universities Commission, NUC.

He added that the university has also recorded tremendous progress in infrastructural and academic development since he took over as the helmsman.

According to him, that management of the school was working hard to ensure that all courses were duly accredited by the NUC.

The VC disclosed this yesterday at his office while receiving the executives of DELSU Alumni Association who paid him a courtesy call ahead of the next convocation ceremony of the university.

His words: “The school, under my administration, has been able to secure 95 per cent NUC accreditation, out of the 68 per cent I met.

“We have also provided eight coaster buses, commenced the building of three big laboratories, as well as NDDC hostel to accommodate 774 students (furnished), with a standby generator.

“We are also providing for the accommodation of 50 academic staff, building of Senate council and governing council chamber.”

Arubayi said within his five years in office, his administration has not witnessed increase in school fees.

He described the university community as a peaceful citadel of learning.

Welcoming the alumni, led by its national president, Oriogbe Emoemu, the don commended the union for the visit.

He added that his administration would vigorously pursue the development of the institution academically.

Earlier, the president of the association, Emoemu, lauded the VC for his developmental strides at the institution.

He said that alma mater was very pleased with his performance.
