The Delta State Bursary Application 2025 is now open under the Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS).

The Delta State Government invites all eligible students who are indigenes of the state and currently enrolled in tertiary institutions to apply for financial assistance to support their education.

This bursary is part of the government’s effort to reduce the financial burden on Delta State students.

Who Can Apply for the Delta State Bursary?

Before applying, ensure you meet the following criteria:

• You must be a confirmed indigene of Delta State.
• You must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
• You must be enrolled in a full-time program in a government-approved institution (universities, polytechnics, mono-technics, or colleges of education).
• Postgraduate students (PGD, Master’s, PhD) are not eligible.
• You must be in 200 level or above for university students, ND II or HND II for polytechnic students, and NCE II or III for college students.
• You must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.20 or higher from the previous academic session.
• You must own a bank account with a CBN-approved commercial bank (student name only).

How to Apply – Delta State Bursary Application Process (Online)

Follow these steps carefully to apply online:

1. Visit the Delta State Bursary Application Portal
2. Click on the “APPLY NOW” button.
3. Fill out the online bursary application form with accurate personal, academic, and bank details.
4. Pay a processing fee of ₦800 using your debit (ATM) card through a secured payment platform.
5. Print the acknowledgment card generated after successful payment and keep it safe—it will be required during the physical verification stage.

Important Dates to Remember

• Application Opens: Tuesday, 15th April 2025
• Application Closes: Wednesday, 14th May 2025

Note: The application window is only open for four (4) weeks. Late applications will not be accepted.

What Happens After Application?

After the online application:

• The acknowledgment card and relevant documents will be screened at a later date.
• The bursary board will announce the physical document verification schedule.
• Only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and complete the process will receive the bursary payment.
