EBSU Accreditation : Lists of Departments / Courses Scrapped By NUC

Following the accreditation exercise carried out by the National Universities Commission at the Ebonyi State University, EBSU. The following departments / Courses have failed to get accreditation. Prospective students and students who are preparing for JAMB UTME 2013 should note that they will have to changed courses if they have chosen any of the following courses at EBSU. There will be NO intake of new students and for those that are already there getting your BSc. Degree after Graduation is not certain.

Scrapped Departments / Courses At EBSU

• Biochemistry
• Industrial Chemistry
• Industrial mathematics
• Applied Statistics
• Linguistic
• English Language and literature
• Accounting
• Philosophy
• Religious Studies

Interim Departments Are: 

Public Administration
Banking and Finance
Marketing
French
Igbo
Medical Laboratory Science
Nursing Science
Chemistry Education
Physics Education
Integrated Science Education
Electrical/Electronics Education
Agricultural Science Education
Mechanical and Metal Work Education

These ones (Interim) were not granted full accreditation and NUSC will be back to assess them before giving them full accreditation. If at that time, they don’t find them worthy, they would scrap them too.

For those of you who are currently students of the scrapped programmes in the University, I suggest you send your SUG to meet with the authorities of the school to ask about what plans they have for you.

When similar thing happened at UNIABUJA, the students were sent to some other schools to complete their degree and several issues arose. Read about the UNIABUJA STORY HERE!!!
