Edo State University Postgraduate Admission Requirements
General Requirements (All Applicants)
- Five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics (maximum of two sittings)
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
For PGD
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum Third Class) in a related discipline OR
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant field, OR
- Recognised professional qualification
For Master’s Degree
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division
- OR PGD in relevant discipline with a minimum of credit
- OR an approved professional qualification
For MPhil
- Master’s Degree with at least a 50% average or CGPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale
For PhD
- Master’s Degree with a 60% average or CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale
- Candidates with a CGPA between 3.5 – 3.9 may be admitted into the MPhil/PhD
- PhD applicants must submit a 450-word research proposal with their application
