Below is the academic calendar. All students and lecturers of the University are expected to adhere to the schedule of activities.

1ST SEMESTER 2019/2020 ACADEMIC CALENDAR (17 WEEKS)

• 12/10/2019 – New students come into residence for 2019/2020 Academic Session.
• 14/10/2019 – 18/10/2019 – Course Registration for 1^st Semester 2019/2020
• 19/10/2019 – Returning students come into residence
• 21/10/2019 – 25/10/2019 – Course Registration for returning students for 1^st Semester 2019/2020
• 28/10/2019 – Lectures begins for 1^stSemester 2019/2020 Academic Session.
• 31/10/2019 – Deadline for Course Registration for newly admitted Students.
• 01/11/2019 – 02/11/2019 – 1^st Convocation Lecture/Ceremony
• 08/11/2019 – Deadline for Course registration for returning Students.
• 12/12/2019 – 11/1/2020 – Christmas break (4 weeks)
• 12/01/2020 – All students return to campus after Christmas break
• 13/01/2020 – 1^st Semester Lectures begin after Christmas break
• 28/01/202020 – Orientation for New students.
• 14/02/2020 – Matriculation of New Students
• 28/02/2020 – End of 1^st Semester lectures for 2019/2020 Academic Session. (12 weeks).
• 02/03/2020 – 06/03/2020 – Revision (1 week).
• 07/03/2020 – General Studies Examinations (GST).
• 09/03/2020 – 1^st Semester Examinations begin in all Faculties
• 23/03/2020 – 4^th Founders Day Celebration
• 24/03/2020 – 1^st Semester Examinations ends.
• 25/03/2020 – 17/04/2020 – Students go down for 1^st Semester break (3 weeks).

2ND SEMESTER 2019/2020 ACADEMIC CALENDAR (15 WEEKS)

• 18/04/2020 – Students come into Residence for 2^nd Semester 2019/2020 Academic Session.
• 20/04/2020 – 24/04/2020 – Course registration for 2^nd Semester 2019/2020
• 27/04/2020 – 2^nd Semester lectures begin for 2^nd Semester.
• 17/07/2020 – 2^nd Semester lectures ends (12 weeks)
• 20/07/2020 – 24/07/2020 – Revision (1 week).
• 25/07/2020 – General Studies Examinations.
• 27/07/2020 – 2^nd Semester Examinations begin for all Faculties.
• 08/08/2020 – End of 2^nd Semester Examinations 2019/2020 Academic Session.
• 09/08/2020 – Students go down for end of session 2019/2020 (Long vacation Break)
• 04/09/2020 – 18/09/2020 – Departments/Faculty Boards of Studies meet to Consider 2018/2019 Academic Session Results
• 21/09/2020 – 25/09/2020 – Senate meets to consider 2018/2019 Academic Session Results
• 10/10/2020 – New students come into Residence for 2020/2021 Academic Session.
