EFCC Arrests Suspected Admission Scammer
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested one Obinna Okoro at Owerri in Imo State over allegation of obtaining five thousand euros (€5,000,00) from one Dr. Essien Edet about two years ago under false pretense to help his daughter secure admission to study Medicine in Ukraine.
Since then, all attempts to get Obinna to refund the money were unsuccessful.
A terse statement by the anti-graft agency’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, on Friday said the suspect would be arraigned in court as soon as investigation was completed. Source: Leadership Newspaper
