Giving an account of his four-year stewardship, the VC said he was able to raise the internally-generated revenue of the school and judiciously utilise same.

“Twenty-five new buildings were put up, including new buildings for eight faculty offices. 47 academic programmes were successfully accredited in 2012 by the NUC and relevant professional bodies.
“We resuscitated graduate assistantship programme which had earlier been suspended, accessibility to TETfund funds for the training of our junior academic staff. For instance, over 25 of our junior academic staff are in topnotch overseas universities on various collaborative training programmes leading to Ph.D,” he said.
Projecting into the future, the VC added that the university had planned a five-year Institutional Strategic Plan covering the year 2015 to 2019.
