Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (Moor Plantation) admission forms into ND and HND programmes (Full-time and Part-time) for the 2016/2017 academic session are currently on sale.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into 2-year Full-Time and 3-year Part-Time National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes which will be available during the 2016/2017 Academic Year in the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan.

FCA Ibadan Admission Requirements Into Various Courses

A. NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY

Candidates must hold:

(i) WAEC/GCE ‘O’ Level or SSCE or NECO or NABTEB with a minimum of five (5) Credit passes, obtained at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Biology/Agricultural Science, and any four (4) of the following: Chemistry, Economics, English Language, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Food and Nutrition, Technical Drawing or Home Economics, any Nigerian Language. The candidate must at least have a pass in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.

(ii) The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the programme.

(iii) Five (5) Credit passes in an NBTE recognized preliminary National Diploma courses offered in a College of Agriculture or similar Post Secondary Institution. The five Credit passes must come from subjects specified in above.

B. NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Candidates must hold:

(i) Credit Level passes in five (5) subjects obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC/GCE ‘O’ Level or SSCE or NECO or NABTEB. The five subjects must include Mathematics, Physics and any of the following: Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Further Mathematics, Food and Nutrition, and Geography/Economics. Candidates must at least have a pass in English Language.

(ii) The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the programme.

(iii) At least a Pass in English Language and five (5) credit passes in an NBTE recognized Preliminary National Diploma course offered in a College of Agriculture or similar Post Secondary Technical Institution. The Credit passes must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science.

C. NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN HOME AND RURAL ECONOMICS

Candidates must hold:

(i) WAEC/GCE ‘O’ Level or SSCE or NECO or NABTEB with a minimum of five (5) Credit passes, obtained at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include: Biology/Agricultural Science, and any four (4) of the following: Home Economics/Food and Nutrition, Government, Business Methods, Economics/Commerce, Religious Knowledge, any Nigerian Language, Geography, Book Keeping and Principles of Accounts, History, Clothing and Textile. The candidate must at least have credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.

(ii) The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the Programme.

(iii) Five (5) Credit passes in an NBTE recognized preliminary National Diploma courses offered in a College of Agriculture or similar Post Secondary Institution. The five Credit passes must come from subjects specified in (i) above.

D. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURE (CROP PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY OPTION)

Candidates must hold:

(i) Minimum ‘O’ Level entry requirements for National Diploma in Agricultural Technology.

(ii) Five Credit Level passes in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of an NBTE recognized Preliminary National Diploma Course offered in a Polytechnic or Similar Post Secondary Institution.

(iii) The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the programme.

(iv) Candidates must in addition have a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in National Diploma in Agricultural Technology, obtained from accredited programme of recognized institutions.

(v) N.C. E in Agricultural Science (Double Major) with at least pass at Merit Level.

(vi) A minimum of one-year post National Diploma cognate work experience is compulsory.

(vii) Candidates with Pass in National Diploma must have at least two-year cognate work experience.

E. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING (FARM POWER AND MACHINERY OPTION)

Candidates must hold:

(i) Minimum ‘O’ Level entry requirements for National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Technology.

(ii) The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the programme.

(iii) Five Credit Level passes in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of an NBTE recognized Preliminary National Diploma Course offered in a Polytechnic or Similar Post Secondary Institution.

(iv) The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the programme.

(v) Candidates must in addition have a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Technology obtained from accredited programme of recognized institutions.

(vi) N. C. E Technical with at least pass at Merit Level.

(vii) A minimum of one-year post National Diploma cognate work experience is compulsory.

(viii) Candidates with Pass in National Diploma must have at least two-year cognate work experience.

F. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING (POST HARVEST TECHNOLOGY OPTION)

As in E (i) – (viii) above

G. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION AND MANAGEMENT

Candidates must hold:

(i) Minimum ‘O’ Level entry requirements for National Diploma in any Agricultural Programme.

(ii) Candidates must in addition have a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in National Diploma in any accredited Agricultural Programme from recognized Institutions.

(iii) N. C. E in Agricultural Science (Double Major) with at least pass at Merit Level.

(iv) A minimum of one-year post National Diploma cognate work experience is compulsory.

(v) Candidates with Pass in National Diploma must have at least two-year cognate work experience.

H. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Candidates must hold:

(i) Minimum ‘O’ Level entry requirements for National Diploma in Agricultural Technology.

(ii) Candidates must in addition to (i) above, have a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in accredited National Diploma Programme in Agricultural Technology from recognized institutions.

(iii) Other requirements as in G (iii), (iv) and (v) above

I. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME IN HORTICULTURE AND LANDSCAPE TECHNOLOGY

Candidates must hold:

(i) Minimum ‘O’ Level entry requirements for National Diploma in Agricultural Technology or Forestry Technology.

(ii) Candidates must, in addition to (i) above, have a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in accredited National Diploma Programme in Agricultural Technology or Forestry Technology from recognized institutions.

(iii) Other requirements as in G (iii), (iv) and (v) above

J. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN PEST MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

Candidates must hold:

(i) Minimum ‘O’ Level entry requirements for National Diploma in Agricultural Technology or Science Laboratory Technology.

(ii) Candidates must, in addition to (i) above, have a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in accredited National Diploma Programme in Agricultural Technology or Science Laboratory Technology from recognized institutions.

(iii) Other requirements as in G (iii), (iv) and (v) above

Eligible candidates who want to apply are to visit www.fcaib.edu.ng to complete the FCA Ibadan admission application form online after payment of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000.00) only. Candidates are to collect Remita Code from the Account Department of the College and make payment at the bank.

Sale of Moor Plantation admission application forms will commence from the date of this publication and end Friday, 24th February, 2017.

All applicants for Higher National Diploma Programmes are advised to request their last Institutions to forward their transcripts for Pre-National Diploma, National Diploma Programmes and National Certificate in Education directly to the Registrar of the College. Any application form received after the above-stipulated date will not be processed.
