Federal Government Dissolves OAU Governing Council

Students, staff and other members of the Obafemi Awolowo University community has commended the Federal Government of Nigeria over the dissolution of the University Governing Council. The Governing Council headed by Professor Ndoma Egba was dissolved by the Buhari-led Federal Government.

This development was announced on the Nigerian Television Authority late Thursday. The Public Relations Officer of OAU, Mr. Biodun Olanrewaju, also confirmed the development in Osogbo on Friday.

The Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) at the university, Ademola Oketunde ‎said the decision of the Federal Government was an indication that the Buhari Administration was totally committed to the fight against corruption.
