Federal Polytechnic Idah Registrar Kidnapped
Story of the kidnap of Federal Polytechnic Idah Registrar — The Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Idah in Kogi State, Mr. Kareem Abu, was at the weekend kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Idah, Daily Trust learnt yesterday.
Though information on the kidnap was still sketching by yesterday, reliable sources said the registrar was kidnapped after the gunmen stormed his residence.
He is the third officer of the institution to be kidnapped between last year and now. The Rector of the institution, Mr. Mathew Akpata, was also kidnapped but regained freedom when the kidnappers’ car had an accident and they abandoned him and the car.
Also, the institution’s librarian was said to have been kidnapped last year from the polytechnic premises. The reporter could not speak as calls to him were not answered.
