Non-Teaching Departments/Units:

(a) Vice Chancellor’s Office

i.) Director of Research (CONTISS 15)

Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Engineering or Sciences from a recognized University plus fifteen (15) years cognate experience, six (12) years of which mast have been spent in a tertiary institution research institution.
  • Registration with any of these professional bodies (COREN, ANUPA, NIM, CIPM etc) is mandatory.
  • Rank of Professor or Reader/Associate Professor preferred.

ii.) Deputy Director of Research (CDNTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Ph. D, M Sc in Engineering or Sciences 0mm a recognized University plot twelve 112) years cognate experience, six (6) years of which most have been spent in a tertiary institution.
  • Rank of Reader/Associate Professor preferred.

iii.) Endowment Officer (CONTISS 9-11)

Qualification:

  • B.Sc in Marketing, Rosiness Administration or Psychology with five years experience.

b) Registry

i.) Deputy Registrar (Establishment) (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess good honours degree preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social or Management Sciences with Ph.D. or Masters degree knee a recognized University plus twelve (12) years cognate experience, four (8) years of which must have been spent on a management position in a tertiary institution.
  • Professional registration a plus.

ii.) Senior Assistant Registrars/Principal Assistant Registrars/ Assistant Registers (CONTISS 13/11/9)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess good honours degree preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social or Management Sciences with Masters level from a recognized University plus years of experiences commensurate with the position

(c) Busar

i.) Bursar (CONTTSS (Consolidated))

Qualification:

  • The applicant should possess a good Masters degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration and must, in addition, be a member of any of the following professional Accounting bodies: ICAN, ACA (E&W), ANAN, ACCA, CPA (USA).
  • The applicant must be of the rank of at least Deputy Bursar/Director and must have had a minimum of fifteen (15) years post professional qualification and cognate experience, ten (10) years of which must have been spent in a University or similar Institution.
  • Exposure to Professional Accounting Practice and a Post-graduate degree from a recognized University will be an added advantage

ii.) Deputy Bursar (CONTTSS 14)

Qualification:

  • A good B. Sc. Degree in Accounting plus membership of a recognized Professional Accountancy body with twelve (12) years post qualification experience or Masters degree in Accountancy plus membership of a recognized professional accounting body with twelve (12) years relevant experience.

(d) Library Department

i.) University Librarian (CONUASS 7)

Qualification:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Ph.D. or Masters degree in Library Science or Information Science from a recognized University, with fifteen (15) years cognate experience and evidence of scholarly publications in both national and international reputable journals. Membership of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria as well as the Nigerian Library Association is also required.
  • The applicant must quality for the rank of Professor or University Librarian.
  • Also Deputy Librarians (With significant management experience) must have Masters degree in Library Science or Information Science with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post professional qualification and cognate experience, seven (12) years of which must have been spent in a University or similar Institution.

ii.) Deputy University Librarian (CONUASS 6)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess at least a Ph.D. or Masters degree in Library or Information Science from a recognized University, with twelve (12) years cognate experience with evidence of scholarly publications in both national and international reputable learned journals.
  • Membership of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria is also required.

iii.) Assistant University Librarians (CONUASS 4)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess MS degree or BS degree in Library or Information Science from a recognized University, with twelve (8) years of cognate Post NYSC experience in University or Institutional Libraries

(e) Department of Works & Maintenance

i.) Director, Works and Maintenance (CONTISS 15)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a good Masters degree from a recognized University in Civil Engineering, Mechanical or Produc­tion Engineering with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post NYSC cognate experience.
  • Candidates with Ph. D. or Masters with relevant operational experiences including relevant publication in reputable journals will be considered in lieu of years of experience.
  • The successful candidate must be COREN Registered as well as Registration with other relevant Engineering registration bodies.

ii.) Deputy Director, Works and Maintenance (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a good Masters degree from a recognized University in Civil Engineering, Mechanical or Produc­tion Engineering with a minimum of twelve (12) years post NYSC cognate experience or a MS in relevant Engineering disciplines with ten (10) years Post NYSC experience.
  • The candidate must be COREN Registered as well as register with other relevant Engineering registration bodies.

(f) Department of Physical Planning

i.) Director Physical Planning (CONTISS 15)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a good honours degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized University with at least fifteen (15) years working experience plus membership of relevant professional bodies, or a Masters degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized University with twelve (1 2) years working experience, and membership of relevant profes­sional bodies.
  • Cognate administrative experience is an added advantage.

ii.) Deputy Director, Physical Planning (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a good honours degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized University with at least twelve (12) years working experience plus membership of relevant professional bodies, or a Masters degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized University with twelve (12) years working experience, plus membership of relevant professional bodies.
  • Cognate administrative experience is an added advantage.

(g) Department of Academic Planning

i.) Director Academic Planning (CONTISS/ CONUASS)

Qualification:

  • Prospective candidates should possess a Ph.D degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post NYSC cognate experience and must be at the rank of Professor or equivalent; or Masters degree in relevant disciplines from a recognized University plus a minimum of twenty (20) years post NYSC cognate experience.

ii.) Deputy Director Academic Planning (Institutional Planning) (CONTISS/ CONUASS)

Qualification:

  • Prospective candidates should possess a Ph.D degree in Statistics with a minimum of fifteen (12) years post NYSC cognate experience in Institutional Planning and Analysis including Strategic Planning and with academic experiences appropriate for the rank of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer 1; or Masters degree In Statistics from a recognized University plus a minimum of twenty (15) years post NYSC cognate experience in Institutional Planning and Analyses with emphasis on Strategic Planning,

iii.) Assistant Director(s) (CONTISS 13)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess good honours degrees in science, mathematics and engineering with superior analytical and computing skills plus at least ten (10) years post NYSC cognate experience.
  • Candidates must be computer literate and must be familiar with most software packages including the MICROSOFT Suites, Databases, etc.

(h) Information & Communication Technology

Position: Director of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) (CONTTSS 15)

  • Candidates sould possess a Ph.D degree in Information technology Management or Computer Engineering from a nationally or internationally recognized Institution with good experience or A Masters Degree from highly reputable national or international university with a minimum of (15) years cognate experience In momma and ICT center. Poor Management experience is highly desirable.

(i) Procurement Department

i.) Deputy Director(s) Procurement (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a good honours degree from a recognized University in any relevant discipline with a minimum of twelve (14) years NYSC cognate experience, or A Masters degree from a recognized University plus twelve (12) years post NYSC cognate experience.

ii.) Procurement Officer(s) (CONTISS 8-9)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a good honours degree from a recognized University in Accounting or Marketing and member ship of relevant professional bodies with 5years post graduation experience.

(j) Student Affairs Unit

i.) Deputy Dean of Students (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Ph.D or MS degree from a reputable University a must.
  • Twelve years of experiences in Student Services or Accom­modation Industry preferred. Experience as Student Advisor a must.
  • Management experience required.
  • The successful candidate is a member of the Senior Management of Student Affairs and will deputize for the Dean of Students when necessary on Student Affairs Issues behalf of University Management.
  • Candidates with high sense of morals and ethics will be considered.

ii.) Guidance Counselors (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • MS, B. Sc or B. Ed in Psychology or Education

iii.) Porters (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • OND or NCE in any relevant field

iv.) Hall Supervisors (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • OND or NCE in any relevant field

v.) Coaches in Basket Ball, Track and Field, Handball, Volleyball, & Tennis (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • B.Sc, OND/NCE in relevant field with NIS Certificate.
  • Candidates must have at least five years relevant coaching experience

vi.) First Aid Personnel (CONTISS 14)

Qualification:

  • Degree in Physical and Health Education with demonstrable relevant skills

(k) Security Department:

i.) Senior Patrol Men

Qualification:

  • SSCE plus 5years cognate working experience.

ii.) Patrol Men

Qualification:

  • SSCE plus 2years cognate working experience.

(l) Safety Department

i.) Health and Safety Officer (HSO)

Qualification:

  • Health and Safety Officer (HSO): HND in relevant filed 4years cognate working experience.

ii.) Fireman

Qualification:

  • OND in relevant filed 2years cognate working experience.

(m) Events Planning & Catering

Position: Catering Officers

Qualifiaction

OND in relevant field with 2years working experience. Candidates should possess a good WASC or its equivalent plus one of the following:

A good University Diploma (BA, BSC) or HND from a recognized tertiary institution, in Home Economics /Home Management/Catering/Institution Management with post NYSC cognate experience.

Note

  • All Candidates must possess an NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate or Certificate of Exemption where applicable
  • Salaries and Allowances attached to the various vacancies are the same with the approved Salary scheme for Federal Universities in Nigeria.
  • Candidates who are awaiting results may not be considered and need not apply,
  • Computer literacy is required for all officer cadres and above.

  1. Candidates should forward their applications in an envelope with the position applied for clearly indicated on the left-hand corner.
  2. Candidates should also request three Referees to forward their reference letters under separate covers to the Registrar, Federal University Wukari. The referees should also be requested to indicate the candidate’s name, position applied for on the left hand corner of the mailing envelop.
