FUTMINNA’s Nigeria Robotics Championship (NIROC) Starts September

Nigeria Robotics Championship (NIROC) 2013 – The School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna is pleased to invite you to the maiden edition of her Nigeria Robotics Championship (NIROC) which will hold from 23rd to 28th September, 2013 at the Indoor Sport Complex, FUT Minna, Gidan Kwano Campus, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

General Information about the Nigeria Robotics Championship (NIROC)

Tasks at the championship will consist of two parts namely, the theoretical and Practical examinations. The theoretical section will be carry 30% of the total marks while practical exams will be 70% of the total mark.

Theory Exams:

The exams will be based on Science, Technical reasoning Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Practical Exams

This will involve building of Robots based on different age categories. Expected robots to be build include Line following Robot, Brush robot, T-Rex robot and Giraffe robot.
