JAMB Unhappy with UTME CBT Candidates Over Lateness

Onukwue told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the Digital Bridge Institute, Oshodi, Lagos, a CBT centre, that some of the candidates lacked exposure.

He said that there was no justification for any candidate to arrive late for the test, adding that candidates ought to have located their centres days before the commencement of the examination.

A NAN correspondent, who visited some of the centres, observed that some of the candidates arrived minutes after the commencement of the examination.

Some candidates who spoke to NAN said that they were either held back by traffic jam or missed their ways.

“I had gone to Agege, thinking that the centre was located there but I was directed back to Oshodi,” a candidate, Miss Madonna Ifionu, told NAN.

Another candidate, Miss Ibukunoluwa Odekunle, said that she did not leave her house in time due to commitments.

Mr Bassey Udem, also a candidate, said that there was a robbery attack on the road he took.

NAN reports that the test which started on May 17 will end on May 31.

There are three sessions daily for the examination – 7a.m., noon and 3p.m.
