The Katsina State Government has approved N230 million for the payment of allowances to its students studying in universities in the country.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director-General, Scholarship Trust Fund, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Katsina.
It said that the government had already disbursed N190 million to students of colleges of education, polytechnics and health institutions; putting the total sum released as scholarship allowance at N420 million.

It urged the students to reciprocate the gesture through dedication to their studies, so as to pass their examinations and contribute meaningfully to nation building.
It also urged them to shun examination malpractice and become good ambassadors of the state in their respective institutions.
