Kogi State Polytechnic 4th Combined Convocation Event Schedule

Kogi State Polytechnic in Lokoja heralds its 4th Combined Convocation ceremonies, a beacon event showcasing the culmination of academic dedication for the 2013-2023 sets. 

Kogi State Polytechnic Convocation Schedule Highlights

The convocation week begins with a Convocation Service on Sunday, 31st December 2023, at 9:00 am, hosted at the Chapel of Peace and Catholic Chaplaincy on campus.

Rector’s Press Briefing and Exhibition

The Rector will host a press briefing on Thursday, 4th January 2024, at 3:00 pmin the 200 Seat Lecture Theatre. This will be followed by an exhibition from the Entrepreneurship Development Centre at 5:00 pm in the Exhibition Gallery, School of Arts, Design and Printing.

Convocation Juma’at Prayer and Lecture

On Friday, 5th January 2024, the Convocation Juma’at Prayer will take place at the Kogi State Polytechnic Mosque at 2:00 pm. This will be succeeded by the Convocation Lecture delivered by Prof. Joseph Ittah Omada on “Providing Food Security: The Role of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria” at 4:00 pm in the 500 Seat Lecture Theatres. The day concludes with the Convocation Dinner at 6:00 pm at the Rector’s Lodge.

The Pinnacle Event: Convocation Ceremony

The Convocation Ceremonies for the award of Diplomas and Fellowships are scheduled for Saturday, 6th January 2024, at 10:00 am at the Convocation Arena, with attendees expected to be seated by 9:30 am.

Important Notices for Graduands

Academic Attire and Payments

Graduands must make arrangements to secure their academic gowns and invitation cards from the office of the Dean, Directorate of Student Services (DSS), starting Tuesday, 2nd January 2024. Evidence of payment is required for collection between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.

Payments for the academic gowns should be directed to the KOGI POLY CONSULT NIG LTD account at First Bank PLC, with the process commencing from Monday, 18th December 2023.

Media Accreditation

Media coverage is limited to accredited journalists who must register with the Public Relations and Protocol Unit by Thursday, 4th January 2024.
