About the KWASU Pre-Degree or Remedial Admission Programs

Kwara State University offers two preparatory pathways:

• Pre-Degree Programme: Designed for candidates who are close to meeting entry qualifications but still lack a few key credits.
• Remedial Programme: For students with deeper subject deficiencies who need to strengthen their academic foundation, especially in English or Mathematics.

Both programs run for one academic session (two semesters) and are non-residential.

In addition to classroom teaching, students are also equipped with practical knowledge in:

• Solar Energy Technology
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

This enhances their employability and technological awareness from an early stage in their academic journey.

Who is Eligible for KWASU Pre-Degree or Remedial Admission?

Pre-Degree Admission Requirements:

Applicants must have:

• At least four (4) credit passes in relevant subjects from WASSCE, NECO, or GCE
• These must be obtained in not more than two sittings
• For holders of the Senior Islamic Studies Certificate, four credits, including English and Arabic, are required

Remedial Admission Requirements:

Applicants must possess:

• At least three (3) credit passes in subjects relevant to their chosen field
• Must include English Language or Mathematics
• All credits must be from one sitting only

The fee schedule for each category is as follows:
