Lagos State University Senate at its 295th Statutory Meeting held on Thursday, 23rd February 2023, reviewed its decision at the Emergency Meeting held on Monday, 13th February 2023, on the Ministerial Directive on the closure of all Universities and Inter-University Centres during the upcoming 2023 General Elections.
The Senate during deliberations recalled its earlier decisions that:
- The ongoing examination should continue up to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, 23rd February 2023.
- Students should vacate the campus immediately and resume to continue their examinations by 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 28th February 2023.
- Students should vacate the campus by 6:00 p. m. on Thursday 9th, March 2023 to resume to continue their examination by 8:00 a. m. on Tuesday, 14th March 2023; and Staff members are to be on ground to carry out their duties.
Senate reviewed its decision on the earlier directives of the Federal Government through the National Universities Commission (NUC) on the closure of all Universities and Inter-University Centres in view of the prevailing circumstances and the non-availability of new Naira notes in different parts of the country and DECIDED that students should vacate the campus effective Thursday, 23rd February 2023 and to resume on Tuesday, 14th March 2023.
