MDCN Accredits KASU Faculty Of Medicine

MDCN Accredits KASU faculty of Medicine. The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has finally approved the accreditation of the university’s Faculty of Medicine in the state university after series of failed promises which led to the medical student take their plight to the street for a peaceful protest in November last year. This led to a visit by the council in December to inspect facilities in the faculty and were quiet impressed at how the state government had it together in a short period spanning just about seven year.

The Faculty of Medicine of the Kaduna State University which was established in 2008 with the vision to produce medical doctors and other health personnel who are able to understand the normal and abnormal human anatomy, the family and the society; with enough scientific knowledge to undertake further training to become specialists, teachers and researchers that can improve the health sector of their state and country as a whole.

With this development, as MDCN Accredits KASU Faculty Of Medicine the students can now proceed to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital (BDTH) for their clinical phase of training.

Its mission is to train medical doctors and other health personnel of high academic standard who will man the health services in Kaduna State and other parts of Nigeria; who can practice in the community and primary healthcare setting; who can practice in any part of the world; and are able to undertake further training to become specialists in their fields; and are able to carry out scientific research for the benefit of the State, country and humanity.

And as MDCN Accredits KASU Faculty Of Medicine these dreams and objective would be brought to limelight.
