It is quite difficult to recognize approved Monotechnics and Specialized institutions in Nigeria these days. This is because it is very easy to come across a monotechnic or specialized institution in places that are not even conducive for learning. This is especially common with those that claim to be private Monotechnics.
I have seen shops, meant for selling goods with signs showing they are monotechnics – whether they are accredited or not, I wouldn’t know. The sad part is that you see unsuspecting students going in and out of those shops claiming to “be in school”. How wrong they are. But they don’t have to.
