Eligibility and Qualifications

The qualifications of the Mountain Top University staff jobs (academic & non-academic) listed above are as follows:

  1. Professor (CONUASS 07: N2,495,899.00–N3,219,940.00): Candidate must possess Ph.D in relevant discipline. Also, candidate must have at least ten (10) years teaching/research experience in the University system and must possess reasonable scholarly publications, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.
  2. Associate Professor (CONUASS 06: N2,063,924.00–N2,694,896.00): Candidate must possess Ph.D in relevant discipline. Also, candidate must have at least eight (8) years teaching/research experience in the University system and must possess reasonable scholarly publications, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.
  3. Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05: N1,664,215.00–N2,359,099.00): Candidate must possess Ph.D in relevant discipline. Also, candidate must have at least six (6) years teaching/research experience in the University system and must possess reasonable scholarly publications, administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.
  4. Lecturer I (CONUASS 04: N1,133,551.00–N1,455,335.00): Candidate must possess Ph.D in relevant discipline. Also, candidate must have at least three (3) years teaching/research experience in the University system and must have reasonable scholarly publications.
  5. Librarian I (CONUASS 03–N908,301.00–N1,085,114.00): A good honours degree with minimum higher degree of Masters in Library Science with three(3) years of cognate experience. Scholarly publications will enhance the prospects of candidates. Ph.D will be an added advantage. Computer knowledge is essential.
  6. Librarian II (CONUASS 02: N805,060.00–N968,202.00): A good honours degree with Masters degree in Library Science. Computer knowledge is essential.
  7. Principal Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 13: N1,456,399.00–N1,919,655.00): A good first degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized University plus at least 12 years post-qualification experience in the University system.
  8. Senior Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 11: N984,105.00–N1,386,296.00): A good first degree (not below Second Class LowerDivision) from a recognized University plus at least 9 years post-qualification experience in the University system.
  9. Assistant Registrar (Legal) (CONTISS 09: N788,784.00–N1,142,410.00): A good honours degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Law (LL.B Hons, BL) from a recognized University plus at least five (5) years Bar experience.
  10. Administrative Officer I (Legal) (CONTISS 08: N682,547.00–N1,008,831.00): A good honours degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Law (LL.B Hons, BL) from a recognized University plus at least three (3) years Bar experience.
  11. Principal Internal Auditor (CONTISS 11:N984,105.00–N1,386,296.00): A good first degree in Accounting or related discipline with at least 8 years post-qualification experience. The candidate must hold a professionally recognized Auditing/Accounting qualification –ICAN, AMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, ANAN-with at least 4 years post-qualification experience. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  12. Senior Internal Auditor (CONTISS 09: N788,784.00–N1,142,410.00): A good first degree in Accounting or related discipline with at least 6 years post-qualification experience. The candidate must hold a professionally recognized Auditing/Accounting qualification –ICAN, AMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, ANAN-with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
  13. Accountant I (CONTISS 08: N682,547.00–N1,008,831.00): A good first degree in Accounting or related discipline with at least 3 years post-qualification experience. Professionally recognized Accounting qualification e.g. ICAN, AMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, ANAN will be an added advantage.
  14. Accountant II (CONTISS 07: N590,191.00–868,105.00): A good first degree in Accounting or related discipline from a recognized University. Candidate must be computer literate.
  15. Senior Architect (CONTISS 09: N788,784.00–N1,142,410.00): A good first degree in Architecture from a recognized University plus at least 6 years post-qualification experience and evidence of registration with Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and Nigerian Institute of Architect (NIA). In addition, candidate must have M.Sc. degree in Architecture plus 3 years post-qualification experience with evidence of Registration with ARCON and NIA and a good exposure to project management.
  16. Architect I (CONTISS 08: N682,547.00–N1,008,831.00): A good first degree in Architecture from a recognized University plus at least 3 years post-qualification experience. In addition, candidate must have M.Sc. degree in Architecture and a good exposure to project management.
  17. Porter (Male and Female)–Halls of Residence (CONTISS 03: N172,827.00.00–261,839.00):
    1. a. WASC or SSC or GCE O/L, WAEC/NECO, with at least 5 passes including 3 credits. Credit in English Language is compulsory.
    2. Ex-Police Constable or equivalent rank in any of the Armed Forces with honourable Certificate of Discharge.
    3. Ex-Sergeant in the Police or in any of the Armed Forces with honourable Certificate of Discharge.
