Nigerian Army Recruitment 89RRI Requirements
Before applying, ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth with a valid NIN slip and Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- Must be single
- Meet medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards set by the Nigerian Army
- Must not have any criminal convictions
- Present a birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission, hospital, or local government
- Have a valid certificate of state of origin
- Minimum height requirement:
- 1.68m for males
- 1.65m for females
- Age requirements:
- Non-trades applicants: 18–22 years (as of 30 June 2025)
- Trades applicants: not older than 26 years (as of 30 June 2025)
- Educational qualifications:
- Minimum of four passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English, obtained in not more than two sittings
- Tradesmen must possess a Trade Test/City & Guild Certificate
- Bring warm clothing to the screening center (cardigan, head warmer, hand gloves, blanket)

General Instructions for Applicants
