Nigerian Army Recruitment 89RRI Requirements

Before applying, ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth with a valid NIN slip and Bank Verification Number (BVN)
2. Must be single
3. Meet medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards set by the Nigerian Army
4. Must not have any criminal convictions
5. Present a birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission, hospital, or local government
6. Have a valid certificate of state of origin
7. Minimum height requirement:
   • 1.68m for males
   • 1.65m for females
8. Age requirements:
   • Non-trades applicants: 18–22 years (as of 30 June 2025)
   • Trades applicants: not older than 26 years (as of 30 June 2025)
9. Educational qualifications:
   • Minimum of four passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English, obtained in not more than two sittings
10. Tradesmen must possess a Trade Test/City & Guild Certificate
11. Bring warm clothing to the screening center (cardigan, head warmer, hand gloves, blanket)

To begin your application:

4. Print out the completed application form and the Guarantor Form
5. Sign and submit both forms during the physical screening at your state recruitment center

General Instructions for Applicants

• No pre-selection CBT will be conducted
• There is no zonal screening exercise; all screening will take place in your state of origin

• Falsification of documents will lead to disqualification or withdrawal if discovered during training

• Reporting date for shortlisted candidates:
• 2nd to 16th June 2025, at the respective state recruitment centres
