The Management of the National Youth Service Corps regrets to announce the postponement of the 2016 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) Orientation course scheduled to commence on Saturday, 21st May, 2016 due to logistics reasons. The postponement is deemed to be indefinite as a new date was not included in the notice.
We suspect this might not be unconnected with paucity of funds as the management had complained about lack of funds for the mobilization exercise initially before releasing another statement that affirms the release of N13bn by the Federal Government to the organisation. We guess the management of NYSC might not want to prepare adequately as the funds came in rather late and logistics needs to be taken care of ahead of the orientation exercise.
We enjoin all Prospective Corps members to watch out for a new date to be announced later.
