OAU Holds Matriculation Ceremony For 2014/2015 Entrants
OAU has conducted the matriculation ceremony for about 6500 new students for the 2014/2015 session. The event was attended by the students, parents/sponsors, principal officers of the school, well wishers as other important dignitaries.
In his speech the Vice Chancellor,Prof. Bamitale Omole congratulated the new students as gaining admission into OAU and taking the matriculation oath has not been an easy journey. He continued to liken the feat achieved by the matriculants to the proverbial camel that successfully passed through the eye of the needle.
“This is because out of over 30,000 candidates that chose OAU as their first choice, you are among the 14,000 that scored above 200 in UTME and among the 6,500 that were finally admitted to the university” he concluded.
He urged the new intakes against joining cult groups as the institution has zero tolerance for cult activities.
