OAU Suspends “Sex-For-Mark” Professor With Immediate Effect
Obafemi Awolokwo University, Ile Ife, OAU management have indicted and suspended with immediate effect, Professor Richard Akindele, for allegedly demanding sex in exchange for marks from a student of the institution.
The Professor was recently exposed on social media after a recorded telephone conversation between himself and a female student in which he was demanding for sex went viral.

The investigative panel set up by the management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on the “sex for mark” scandal involving one of the academic staff of the university, Professor Richard Akindele, has indicted him and recommended him for immediate suspension.
According to Daily Trust, the information was released by a reliable source, who revealed that the report of the panel was not in favour of the professor and that the committee has submitted it’s reports to the management of the university.
The source said “the committee set up by the management of OAU to investigate Professor Akindele sex scandal has submitted its report. The committee indicted him and recommended him for immediate suspension. That is the preliminary findings anyway. The committee still want to meet the student that was involved. Once the lady appears, the committee will recommend appropriate sanction.”
