OAU Teaching Hospital Schools of Nursing Admission Application Details – 2016/2017
I. Basic General Nursing
This is a three-year program commencing in October, 2017.
Requirement
Applicants must possess: WAEC/SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He or She should be at least Seventeen (17) years old on admission.
Method Of Application
Application forms are obtainable from Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Schools of Nursing, Ife Hospital Unit, Ile-Ife and Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa at a cost of SixThousand (N6,000.00) Naira only payable by cash to: PAYABLE AT SKYE BANK BRANCHES IN O.A.U.T.H.C., ILE-IFE & W.G.H., ILESA.

Closing Date
Completed OAUTH Basic General Nursing application form should be returned to the office of the Principal, Schools of Nursing, I.H.U., Ile-Ife and W.G.H., Ilesa respectively on or before Friday 19th May, 2017.
Date Of Entrance Examination
Basic General Nursing Entrance examination shall be conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Nursing & Midwifery Committee on Saturday 3rd June, 2017.
II. Post Basic General Nursing
Requirements
Applicants must:-
- possess WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO,SSCE/GCE – 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English language, Mathematics and three Sciences i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- be a Registered Midwife or Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- have at least one year post registration working experience after the mandatory Community one year service (Midwives only).
Test And Selection Interview
Written Test 13th June, 2017
Oral interview 14th – 15th June, 2017

OAUTH Post Basic General Nursing Application Closing Date
Completed application form should be returned to the office of the Principal, Schools of Nursing, I.H.U. and W.G.H. respectively on or before 2nd June, 2017.
III. Peri-Operative Nursing
This is a Twelve (12) month program commencing in November, 2017.
Requirements
Applicants must:-
- possess the WAEC,SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with at least 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language and at least one Science subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry or Biology for candidates who finished General Nursing before 2006.
- possess English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Candidates who finished General Nursing from 2006.
- be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- have at least one year post qualification experience.

Written Test 23rd May, 2017
Oral interview 24th and 25th May, 2017
Application Closing Date 2017
Completed application form, duly endorsed by sponsors, together with photocopies of relevant credentials should be returned to office of the Coordinator, School of Perioperative Nursing latest by 11th May, 2017.
IV. Post Basic Midwifery
This is an eighteen-month programme commencing in September, 2017
Applicants must:-
- possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with five (5) credits (at not more than two-sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
- be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Applicants awaiting the result of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Examination may also apply but must present Registration Number from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at the interview.
Test And Selection Interview

Oral interview 14th – 15th June, 2017
