Olabisi Onabanjo University Collaborates With UK Varsities

Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) is collaborating with Universities from the United Kingdom in the areas of exchange of students and staff for a given period through exchange programmes.

The Vice-chancellor, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, Prof. Saburi Adesanya, has stated that OOU stands to benefit immensely in the collaborative areas of joint research activities, curricula development and research projects, as it signed Memorandun of Understanding with United Kingdom-based universities.

They are University of Nottingham and University of the West of Scotland, UK.

The MOU, according to the statement from the institution, will give the OOU the opportunity to establish academic co-operation with these universities in the areas of exchange of students and staff for a given period through exchange programmes.

While signing the MOU on behalf of OOU, Adesanya stated that OOU “stands to benefit immensely in the collaborative areas of joint research activities, curricula development and research projects with these foreign based tertiary institutions.”

Other areas of the agreement include exchange of documentation and research materials, learning and teaching involving the development of a programme leading to an award.

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Nottingham, Prof. David Greenaway signed for his university, while Prof. Craig Mahoney, Vice-Chancellor, University of the West of Scotland, also appended his signature for his institution.
