Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Confirms Appointment of VC

The appointment of Prof. Saburi Adesanya as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye has been confirmed by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

A statement by the OOU spokesperson, Mr. Biodun Oduwole, indicated that the appointment of Adesanya, a professor of Pharmacognosy, takes immediate effect.

Before his appointment, Adesanya had been the acting VC of OOU since July 27, 2012.

Quoting a release by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, Oduwole stated that the VC was an erudite scholar with a teaching experience spanning almost three decades in the nation’s university system. www.ngscholars.net
