As The Olabisis Onanbanjo University students continued in their clamour for further reduction in their tuition fees, the once peaceful protest has turned out into a violent one as OOU students clash with MAPOLY students who on the other hand went to pay the Governor a “thank you” visit for the satisfactory reduction on the polytechnic’s tuitions.
Reports gathered was that at least one student was shot and some others wounded. The protesting students have barricaded the road leading to the government office at oke-mosan and have left a bus on the road blocking movement. See photos below.
It was also gathered that OOU campuses across the state will be shut down from Monday next week as OOU ASUU joined the protesting students.
The school will be shut down and it’s gates locked once the ongoing UTME in the school is concluded this weekend.
