NUC on Tuition Paid In Nigerian Universities – We reported to you earlier that the Monday, 15th July, 2013 Meeting of ASUU with Lawmakers and NUC ended in a deadlock. ASUU insisted that government implement hundred per cent of the agreement it reached with them in 2009.

Professor Julius Okojie

If you read the full story, there is an area that we think might interest Nigerian Students as well as many parents who have children in Nigerian Universities. It was reported that Prof. Julius Okogie, Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), told the committee that the tuition paid in universities in Nigeria was very low compared to other countries.

Mr. Okogie appealed to ASUU to call off the strike since negotiations were already on.

Do you agree with Prof. Okojie on this? What’s your own view?
