2020 UNILAG Convocation Academic Outfit, Brochure & Certificate Folders Collection Procedure

Information on UNILAG Convocation gown (academic gown) collection for 2020 convocation ceremony has been published by the management. This is an important piece of information for University of Lagos graduands for the 2018/2019 academic session.

The management of University of Lagos hereby uses this medium to inform all graduating students that the payment of the Complete Academic Outfit (Gown, Hood,& Cap), Certificate Folder and Convocation Brochure is scheduled as follows;

Payments for ALL graduating students for the 2018/2019 Convocation Ceremonies are as outlined below:

  • Mandatory Payment:

Payment for ALL graduating students for the Convocation Ceremonies:

  • Purchase/Hiring:

Gown, Hood & Cap shall be obtained at the following cost:

Academic outfit will be available at the College, School of Postgraduate Studies, Faculties and the Distance Learning Institute.

  • Return of Academic Outfit:

The deadline for return of all academic outfits shall be April 12, 2020.  Individuals who return the hired academic outfits shall be entitled to a refundable fee of ₦2,500.00 only while those who fail to return the outfit shall be made to bear the cost for outright purchase (₦15,000.00) before clearance is issued.

  • Collection of Certificates:

All graduating students are expected to collect their certificates within three (3) months after Convocation.  Failure to collect will attract a demurrage of ₦50 per day.

Procedure for Payments

Graduating students are to make all payments by accessing the University website (www.unilag.edu.ng), complete the form under UNILAG payment portal (student category). Thereafter, students are to proceed to any bank of their choice with the RRR generated, for payment as appropriate.  Copies of bank teller and payment advice bearing bank confirmation should be taken to the College, School of Postgraduate Studies, Faculties and Distance Learning Institute as appropriate.University of Lagos TSAThrough Remita

  • Postgraduate (₦2,500.00)

Invitation Cards for Graduating Students

Each graduating student is entitled to two (2) invitation cards.  The invitation cards and a set of academic outfit (gown, hood and cap), would be available for collection on presentation of receipt/teller for payment at the College/School/Faculty/Institute as appropriate.  Convocation Brochures are to be collected at the various locations earlier mentioned.  Graduating students are enjoined to attend the Convocation Ceremonies at the time allotted to them.
