Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Partners With NSCDC To Maintain Peace In The University
The Management of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by State Commandant, Engr. Felix Gbolade , paid a visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University(UNIOSUN), Professor Adekunle B. Okesina , on Wednesday, April 29, 2013, to explore possibilities of partnering with the University to bring greater peace to the institution which, hitherto, has been very peaceful.
Engr. Gbolade further requested the University to fashion out a training programme for his Corps. In his response, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Adekunle Okesina, assured the team that the University would continue to cooperate with the Corps with a view to maintaining peace.
He also expressed readiness of the university to partner with the Corps toorganise training programmes for their members. At the event were principal officers of the University and senior officials from the Nigerian Civil Defence and Security Corps.
