UNIPORT Admits Over 6000 For 2014/2015 Session
The University of Port Harcourt has matriculated 6,930 students for 2014/2015 academic session. Members of the general public are hereby informed.
Below is the summary of the admitted students as per college/faculty in the university:
-  College of Natural and Applied Science – 1,911
- Faculty of Humanities – 1,183
- The Faculty of Education – 1,148
- Faculty of Management Sciences – 802
- Faculty of Social Sciences – 748
- College of Engineering – 380
- Faculty of Agriculture – 348,
- College of Health Sciences – 258,
- Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences – 152.
The Vice chancellor of the university in a statement at the matriculation ceremony had urged the students to shun vices like cultism, exam malpractice and others as the university will not tolerate such.
He also informed the new students that any student that fails to attend a minimum 75 per cent of all the lectures in a semester will not be allowed to write the semester examination.
