University of Ibadan Resumption Date for 2022 After ASUU Strike

University of Ibadan, UI resumption date for the completion after ASUU called of the 2022 8-month old strike has not been announced. The school management is currently working on amending the academic calendar. All student are hereby informed.

The Senate of the University of Ibadan, at its Special Meeting, reached the conclusion to open physically and announce the resumption date. To see the new resumption date and other important information below, kindly scroll down.

When Is University of Ibadan Is Resuming?

The Vice Chancellor of the university sent out a communique that includes the following:

With the strike behind us, we have to pick up from where we were to continue the Session. To ensure a smooth takeoff, the Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors met on Friday, 14 October, 2022 to consider a revision of the Academic Calendar, the proposal will be taken to Senate on Monday, 17 October, 2022 for discussion, further input and approval.

LATEST UPDATE ON UI RESUMPTION DATE:

In a special meeting held on Monday, October 17, 2022, the Senate of the University of Ibadan decided that classes would start up again on Monday, October 24, 2022, to continue the 2021/2022 academic year.

Consequently, starting on Sunday, October 23, 2022, halls of residence would be open.
