UNN Academic Calendar For 2019/2020 Academic Session

The University of Nigeria Nsukka, UNN academic calendar for 2019/2020 academic session has been released. All students of the University (new and returning) should be properly guided.

The new calendar is meant to serve as guide for a better academic year for both lecturers and the students. It contains the schedule of academic activities that will take place in school for the 2019/2020 academic session. Below is the UNN academic calendar.

OCTOBER 2019

• Sunday 6th – Friday 11 – FOUNDERS’ DAY CEREMONY

DECEMBER 2019

• Monday 02 – Arrival of freshmen/provision of accommodation
• Tuesday 03 – Registration begins for freshmen
• Monday 09 – Arrival of returning students/provision of accommodation
• Tuesday 10 – Registration begins for returning students
• Monday 16 – Orientation for freshmen begins
• Thursday 19 – Orientation for freshmen ends
• Friday 20 – Registration ends for returning students
• Friday 20 – Christmas break begins

JANUARY 2020

• Friday 03 – Christmas break ends/students return to campus
• Monday 06 – Lectures begins
• 06 – Late Registration begins for returning students
• Friday 17 – Late Registration ends for returning students
• SATURDAY 25 JANUARY – MATRICULATION CEREMONIES

APRIL 2020

• Friday 03 – Lectures end
• Monday 06 – Revision begins
• Friday 10 – Revision ends
• FRIDAY 10 MONDAY 13 EASTER BREAK
• Monday 20th – Departmental Examination Begins
• Friday 24th – Departmental Examination ends
• Monday 27 – Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses begin

MAY 2020

• Friday 08         –      Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses end

END OF FIRST SEMESTER AND STUDENTS VACATE CAMPUS

COMMENCEMENT OF SECOND SEMESTER

• Monday 11    –        Registration begins for all students
• Tuesday 12   –        Lectures begin
• Friday   22    –        Registration ends
• Monday 25    –        Late registration begins
• Friday 29       –        Last day for submission of first semester results to the
• Department. Processing of results begins in the Department.
• Friday 05      –        Last day for submission of first semester results to the Registry
• (Examinations). Processing of results begins in the Registry
• Tuesday 09   –        Late Registration ends
• Friday 12      –        Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department.

JULY 2020  

• Friday 31      –        Lectures end

AUGUST 2020

• Monday 03    –        Revision begins
• Friday 07      –        Revision ends
• Monday 10    –        Departmental examinations begin
• Friday 14      –        Departmental examinations end
• Monday 17    –        Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses begin

END OF 2019/2020 SESSION AND STUDENTS VACATE CAMPUS

SEPTEMBER 2020

• Friday 25      –        Last day for submission of second semester results to the
• Department. Processing of results begins in the Department

OCTOBER 2020

• Friday 02      –       Last day for submission of second semester results to the Registry (Examinations). Processing of results begins in the Registry
• Friday 09      –        Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department.
•  Monday 19- Friday 23   –   Faculty Board meets to consider and approve final year Students’ results
• Wednesday 28             –   Senate meets to consider and approve final year results
