A student of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Miss Belynda Chinwe Bosa, has been arrested by the Police for planning and executing her own abduction in order to extort money from her parents. She was thereafter reported missing by her parents after which the abductors demanding a ransom of N500,000.00.
Police Arrest DELSU Student for Kidnapping Herself
A suspect, America Sunday Ogagawotu has been since arrested by the Special Anti- Kidnapping Squad in Asaba. The arrested suspect implicated Chinwe’s boyfriend, who in turn confessed to the crime, saying that he came from overseas and that he wanted to use the money to settle down.
He disclosed that the victim got N100,000.00 as her own share from the ransom of N500,000.00 paid by her parents. All the arrested accomplice have confessed to the crime and are helping the police with further investigation.
