Abducted Covenant University Girls Released

It is really good news that the two abducted Covenant University girls have been released by their abductors. We informed you that the two girls were abducted in Abuja about a fortnight ago.

The girls, Ejura Opaluwa, and Unekwu Opaluwa, aged 23, and 19, respectively, were abducted in their house located at 55 Associated Estate, Impresit Karmo in the Federal Capital Territory two Sundays ago, when the gunmen, believed to be robbers, laid siege on their house.

The abductors demanded ransom for the release of the girls. We are happy to inform you that the girls have been released. It is, however, not clear if the ransom was paid to secure the release of the Covenant University students.
