The management of the Abia State University (ABSU) has released the academic calendar for the second semester, 2023/2024 academic session.

ABSU Academic Calendar

The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Distinguished Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, has graciously approved a revised calendar for the 2nd Semester, 2023/2024 academic session as follows:

• Students Return: Set for Saturday, 11th November 2023, ABSU awaits its vibrant community of learners, eager to embark on another fruitful academic journey.
• Registration Commences: Starting Tuesday, 14th November 2023, it’s imperative for students to ensure timely registration to avoid any last-minute rush or complications.
• Registration Concludes: Wrapping up by Friday, 17th November 2023, ABSU encourages its students to utilise this window effectively.
• Lectures Kick-Start: With the dawn of Tuesday, 21st November 2023, ABSU will immerse its students in a knowledge-driven environment, nurturing growth and academic prowess.
• End of Lectures: Scheduled for Friday, 9th February 2024, this marks the culmination of the semester’s academic input, paving the way for revisions.
• Revision Begins and Ends: Spanning from Tuesday, 13th February 2024 to Friday, 16th February 2024, this period allows students to consolidate their learning, preparing for the upcoming examinations.
• Examinations Commence and Conclude: This critical phase runs from Tuesday, 20th February 2024 to Tuesday, 5th March 2024. It’s a testament to the student’s dedication and hard work throughout the semester.

Students of the University are expected to pay their outstanding fees and register their courses within the stipulated Senate approved period to avoid sanctions.
