The UBTH College of Nursing ND and HND admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session is now officially open.

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, invites qualified candidates to apply for admission into its full-time National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Nursing programs.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old, meet specific UTME and O’Level requirements, and complete their application before 19 September 2025.

UBTH College of Nursing ND and HND Admission Programmes

The UBTH College of Nursing offers two approved and accredited nursing programs:

National Diploma (ND) in Nursing – Duration: 2 years
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing – Duration: 2 years

These programs are full-time and designed to equip students with both theoretical and practical skills for a professional nursing career.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

To be eligible for the UBTH College of Nursing ND and HND admission, you must:

Be at least 17 years old at the time of application
Have scored 180 and above in the 2025 JAMB UTME
Possess five (5) O’Level credit passes at not more than two sittings in:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Acceptable exam bodies: WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE
Ensure that your O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal

Note: Failure to upload O’Level results to JAMB CAPS will disqualify you from the admission process.

Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT center
Request a change of institution to:

Step 2 – Prepare Required Documents

Get the following documents ready in digital format:

Birth Certificate
Passport Photograph
O’Level Result (matching the required subjects)

Step 3 – Apply Online via UBTH Portal

Visit the official UBTH College of Nursing application portal
Generate a REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) for your payment
Pay the non-refundable application fee through REMITA
Upload your payment receipt and complete the online registration form
Ensure all uploaded details are accurate before final submission
