UNILORIN Post UTME/DE Screening

Application Opens for UNILORIN Post UTME/DE Screening

If you picked the University of Ilorin as your first choice and are aiming for a spot in one of Nigeria’s most competitive institutions, now is the time to act. UNILORIN has provided clear steps for both UTME and Direct Entry applicants. Still, the university also warns that mistakes will not be corrected. Any incorrect or incomplete information leads to automatic disqualification.

How UNILORIN Will Score Candidates

Admission screening is not based on a single factor. UNILORIN will use a weighted system as follows:

  • 50% – UTME or Direct Entry score
  • 30% – Post-UTME screening
  • 20% – Five core O’Level subjects relevant to your chosen course

This means every score counts. A weak link in any of the three areas can cost you admission.

Essential Requirements Before You Register

  • Use a valid personal email address (not your parents’ or relatives’).
  • Provide your phone number.
  • Ensure your O’Level or A’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS before registering. If results are not yet available, select “AR” (Awaiting Result).
  • Any course change must be done only on JAMB CAPS. Changes on the UNILORIN portal will not be recognized.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for the UNILORIN Post UTME/DE Screening

  1. Visit the UNILORIN Undergraduate Portal.
  2. Click on Pre-admission Screening Registration.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname.
  4. Click Get Details.
  5. Input your O’Level or A’Level results, or select “AR” if awaiting results.
  6. Pay the ₦2,000 registration fee via Remita using your ATM card.
    • Do not refresh your browser during payment.
    • If payment fails, wait and retry.
  7. Return to the portal and click Admission Login.
  8. Enter your JAMB number and Surname again.
  9. Complete your details carefully and cross-check everything.
  10. Click Submit.
  11. Print your registration slip and confirm all information is correct.

Special Note on Certain Courses

Candidates applying for the following programmes must present O’Level results from one sitting only:

  • Medicine (MBBS)
  • Pharmacy
  • Optometry & Vision Science
  • Computer Engineering

No combined results will be accepted for these courses.

Direct Entry Applicants

The same registration steps apply to Direct Entry candidates. However:

  • You must select your highest qualification during the registration process.
  • If you recently switched from UTME to DE, ensure this change reflects on JAMB CAPS before starting registration on UNILORIN’s portal.

Final Word: Accuracy Matters

The UNILORIN Post UTME/DE screening process leaves no room for errors or false details. Any inconsistency between the details you submit on UNILORIN’s portal and what is on JAMB CAPS leads to immediate disqualification—even if you appear on the merit list.
