The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brig-General Johnson B.Olawumi has unfolded his vision for the scheme as follows:

To increase the impact of the scheme and expand its value to critical stakeholders.
To achieve this vision, the Director-General also revealed his four-point agenda thus:
To improve the service content of the scheme.To enhance the welfare and safety of corps members and staff for effective service delivery.To expand partnership of the scheme with critical stakeholders for greater impact, funding and support.To enhance the visibility and relevance of the scheme.
